Watercolour painting by A Holdsworth of Water End house, Sandridge. Handwritten note in ink on reverse reads: "Water End, Sandridge. Reputed birthplace of Sarah Jennings, Duchess of Marlborough. May 1897. A. [L? K?] Holdsworth." The Waterend Barn, now in the centre of St Albans, was originally part of Water End Farm.
