Engraved portrait of "Iacobus Shirlaeus: [James Shirley]". No date. James Shirley (1596 - 1666) was an English dramatist. He became a minister at St Albans and was Master of St Albans School 1623 - 1625. He later converted to Catholicism, and was also a playwright.
