The third page of a letter (three pages in total) written to Nicholas Carlisle Esq., Secretary of the Society of Antiquities, London, from James Brown. The letter is dated "Saint Alban's, May 5th, 1813." The letter is written regarding the archaeological discoveries at Kingsbury Manor, which included a stone coffin and skeleton, and several glass vessels including the 'Kingsbury Jug'. It also goes on to mention a lead coffin and the remains of other burials found in May 1799, about which Mr Brown says he sent a report to "the Gentleman's Magazine", in which it was published that month. Printed by "Shaw, Printer, St. Albans."
