Watercolour by J.H.Buckingham showing the view down St Peter's Street, St Albans with the St Albans Cattle Fair in progress, October 10th 1854. This view appears to be seen from St Peter's Green, with Hatfield Road and Catherine Street going off to the left and right respectively. The modern roundabout would be approximately where the lamppost stands in this picture.
