Edward George Earle Lytton Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Baron Lytton (1803– 1873) was an English novelist, poet, playwright, and politician. He was Conservative M.P. for Hertfordshire from 1852 - 1866. This portrait appears to be published on the occasion of his death in January 1873.
