Monochrome postcard showing the East end of St Albans Abbey viewed from the North East, across the Vintry Gardens, sometimes referred to as the Bank Gardens. The East end of the Abbey is the location of the Lady Chapel, which was cut off from the rest of the abbey church in the 16th century by the walls of a public passageway and housed St Albans School until 1871. No postmark.
