John Louis Petit showing a view of St Albans Abbey and the Abbey Gateway from the North West, with the backs of houses around Romeland, Welclose Street and what is now Mount Pleasant. Date on reverse Oct 26 1867. Not signed. This view appears to be from around the area of Kingsbury Mount, now Mount Pleasant and 'The Brickie' park. Children in the foreground playing on the mount.
