Letter from Maria Millington Evans of 9, Kensington Park Gardens, W.11., dated October 11, 1921. Miss Millington Evans laid the foundation stone of the Herts County Museum (now the Museum of St Albans) on Hatfield Road on 20 July 1908, and was presented with a silver trowell on that occasion. This letter regards the possible donation of this trowell to the museum "on condition that a note is made as to the circumstances of its presentation."
