Ryders Floral Hall and offices, corner of Holywell Hill and Albert Street, St Albans, 1964. From the St Albans Street Survey, 1964. Samuel Ryder made his fortune founding Ryders Seeds, he opened offices and a floral hall for his seed company (the latter, seen here, is better known today as Café Rouge; the Ryders offices are now the Comfort Hotel). He is best remembered, however, as founder of the Ryder Cup.
