Monochrome photographic print with original embossed cardboard frame, 85 x 74 mm (frame size). Studio portrait of the daughters of A.E. Gibbs (left to right): Marjory Eileen (b. June 1897); Phyllis Mercy (b. June 1895); Stella Hermione (b.1900). From the children's ages this photograph appears to have been taken around 1902. A.E. Gibbs was one of the founders of the City Museum, St Albans (now the Museum of St Albans). He was a member of the Gibbs family of St Albans who were printers and founded of the Herts Advertiser newspaper.
