Detail of a page from brochure produced for Fisk & Son drapers and outfitters, St Albans in 1904 with half-tone illustrations: Top left: Interior view of the shop with display of furniture including wicker chairs hung from the ceiling and iron bedsteads on the right. Bottom right: Exterior view of Fisk's Stables, Waxhouse Gate, with two men standing at the entrance to the stables and a carriage or cart partly visible. The sign to the right of the entrance reads: "Fisk & Son General Drapers, Clothiers & Outfitters, 21, 23, 25, & 27 High St." These buildings still standing in the 1970s but were demolished when Heritage Close shopping precinct was built.
