Monochrome postcard showing E.H.Steer butchers shop with meat displayed in window. A man and woman, presumably Mr and Mrs Steer, stand at the shop doorway to the right. Mr Steer had a butchers shop at No. 23 Chequer Street, though this picture appears to date from before that period. Also, this shop is numbered 14, rather than 23, suggesting that this is a different premises to the later shop at 23 Chequer Street. No postmark.
