Monochrome photographic print on board. Portrait of John Lewis, mayor of St Albans in 1856. The new corn exchange in Market Place St Albans was opened during John Lewis' time as mayor and still has a plaque bearing his name (see photo 2000.7289 of this plaque in 1983).
