Watercolour landscape showing Llyn Llydaw lake in Snowdonia, North Wales with mountains including Mount Snowdon in the background, in very overcast weather. Llyn Llydaw is the subject of several Arthurian legends, including being the home of the Lady of the Lake, being the lake across which King Arthur sailed to the Isle of Avalon, and being the lake into which Sir Bedivere threw the sword Excalibur. Wigram painted several watercolours of this part of Wales, perhaps on the same trip. Sir Edgar Thomas Ainger Wigram bart. (1864-1935) was mayor of St Albans in 1926.
