Watercolour landscape showing the a mountain scene of the Afon Eden river and the Mawddach Valley near Dolgelley in North Wales. Dolgelley (also known as Dolgellau) is a small market town situated at the foot of the Cader Idris mountain range in south Snowdonia. Wigram painted several watercolours of this part of Wales, perhaps on the same trip. Sir Edgar Thomas Ainger Wigram bart. (1864-1935) was mayor of St Albans in 1926.
