Description

Poster for the St Albans Pageant, July 15th to 20th,1907 with as illustration by Robert Groves showing a knight in armour blowing a trumpet with St Albans flag hanging from it. Groves also produced a series of paintings of historic figures relating to the "Eight Historical Episodes" of the pageant. These were reproduced as souvenir postcards. Printed by Smiths Litho, St Albans. Robert Groves, head of St Albans School of Art, was the designer of the 1907 pageant.
