Dedication within ornate border bottom right reads: "To The Right Worp.ll[worshipful] the MAYOR, & The Worp.ll[worshipful] the Recorder, and Aldermen of the Antient Borough of St Alban's this Plate is Humbly Dedicated By John Oliver."
