Engraving, 202 x 125 mm (plate mark cut off). No engraver's or publisher's details, no date. Seated portrait of Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston (1784 – 1865). Henry John Temple was an English statesman who served as Foriegn Secretary, Home Secretary and twice as Prime Minister (in 1855-1858 and 1859-1865). He lived at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, where he died in 1865.
