Sampler worked in various stitches in silk on linen by Eliza Bonnice aged 12 years, at St Stephen's School Herts July 13 1846. Alphabet design with religious text. Text reads: "Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
