Stipple engraving portrait of "William Viscount Grimston, from an Original Picture in the Collection of the Right Honourable Lord Verulam." No artist or date though handwritten date in pencil reads 1650. However, William Luckyn Grimston, the first Viscount Grimston, was born c.1663 and died 1756, which would make a date of 1650 before his lifetime. In addition, the technique of stipple engraving developed from the 1760s, and was particularly popular between 1771 and 1810. Part of the Lewis Evans Collection.
