Coloured lithograph showing the "Proposed New Congregational Church at St Albans." This church is now Trinity United Reformed Church, on the corner of Beaconsfield Road. This was one of a number of nonconformist churches that were built in St Albans during the Victorian period: Dagnall Street Baptist Church, the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Victoria Street, and the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Dagnall Street were also built around this time. Samuel Ryder, who was on the town council, endowed Trinity Church.
