Etching by F.L.Griggs, initialled in plate bottom right. View of the yard of The Coopers' Arms Inn, Hitchin,1897'. Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs (1876-1938) was born in Hitchin and lived there until 1903. He was a distinguished etcher and from 1896 onwards he exhibited widely.
