Etching by F.L.Griggs, signed in plate bottom right corner. View of The Boot Inn, Hitchin, 1889. Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs (1876-1938) was born in Hitchin and lived there until 1903. He was a distinguished etcher and from 1896 onwards he exhibited widely.
