  • St Saviours Church, St Albans
Monochrome pen and ink drawing with watercolour wash by H.R.Wilton Hall (initialled bottom right), dated 1898. 'The Tin Hut' was erected on Culver Road, St Albans in 1882 as a school-church by the vicar of Sandridge, Revd. Dr. Griffiths, and preceeded St Svaiours Church. By 1888 this building was too small as a school so it was decided to improve it to make it more suitable for use as a Mission Church. The Chancel (to the left in this painting) was added and dedicated, and licensed in 1889. Kindly loaned to St Albans Museums for reproduction and inclusion in this image database by St Saviour's Church, St Albans.
