Posed studio portrait of Arthur Ernest Gibbs with his wife Louisa (nee Dickinson) and their three daughters (left to right): Phyllis Mercy, Stella Hermione, Marjory Eileen. A.E. Gibbs was one of the founders of the City Museum, St Albans (now the Museum of St Albans). He was a member of the Gibbs family of St Albans who were printers and founded of the Herts Advertiser newspaper.
