Monochrome postcard showing the High Altar of St Albans Abbey and the Wallingford Screen viewed looking East from the Quire. Note the painted wooden roof. The original Wallingford Screen was erected in 1484 by William of Wallingford, 47th abbot of St Albans Abbey, but destroyed during the Dissolution. The current screen is a Victorian copy. No postmark.
