Description

The ruins of the old Tudor house at Gorhambury, 2005. The Elizabethan house at Gorhambury was built in 1563 - 68 by Sir Nicholas Bacon. It was replaced by the present neo-Palladian house, built by the 3rd Viscount Grimston in 1777 - 84 to the designs of Sir Robert Taylor.
