Steel engraving, published by Rock & Co. London, No. 4444, 10 January 1862. The view down St Peter's Street looking from the left hand side of the road towards the Old Town Hall, Market Place and Chequer Street. The Old Town Hall was opened in 1831, designed in a neo-classical style by architect George Smith.
