Watercolour painting showing old Holywell House which once stood at the bottom of Holywell Hill, St Albans, as it appeared c. 1795, viewed from St Stephen's Road (St Stephen's Hill?). After an "old" drawing by Thomas Baskerville. Holywell House was one of the residences of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough (1650- 1722) and his wife Sarah, neé Jennings (1660- 1744).
