Watercolour landscape showing St Nicholas Church in Studland, Dorset, with gravestones and trees in the foreground. The church is believed to have been built around 1050, just before the Norman conquest. Part of the original church has been rebuilt, or built on, making a mix of Norman and Saxon styles which makes it very unusual. Sir Edgar Thomas Ainger Wigram bart. (1864-1935) was mayor of St Albans in 1926.
