Monochrome postcard showing view looking up George Street, St Albans during Pageant Week, July 1907 with costumed pageant participants and street decorated with flags and bunting. No postmark. Before Telford's construction of Verulam Road in 1825, George Street was the main road into St Albans from the north-west, and before the rise of St Peter's Street, between the two world wars, it was one of the city's principal shopping streets.
