Monochrome postcard showing the Old Town Hall and St Peter's Street, St Albans, with cars and pedestrians in the street. A sign announcing St Albans Millinery Pageant, which was held in 1948, hangs on the front of the Town Hall, though the postcard itself was printed some time later. The old town hall was opened in 1831, designed in a neo-classical style by architect George Smith. Postmarked St Albans, September 7th, 1960.
