Watercolour landscape of town of Criccieth, situated on the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd, North Wales, near Porthmadog. The town is viewed in the distance from a beach, which is seen in the foreground. The sillhouette of Criccieth castle can be seen on the horizon while figures are walking on the beach at low tide. Wigram painted several watercolours of this part of Wales, perhaps on the same trip. Sir Edgar Thomas Ainger Wigram bart. (1864-1935) was mayor of St Albans in 1926.
