Watercolour "Interment of Lady Verulam, St Michael's, St Albans." Not signed, no date. Burial in progress in St Michael's Church graveyard with large group of mourners gathered around the grave. Given the period during which Buckingham was working, this may be the funeral of The Rt. Hon. Charlotte, Countess of Verulam (1783 - 1863). Born Lady Charlotte Jenkinson, she was the wife of James Walter Grimston, the 1st Earl of Verulam and mother of eight children including James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam.
