"Brass Monument of an Abbot in the Choir of St Albans Abbey Church." This is the brass of Abbot Thomas De La Mere (1349-96) from St Albans Abbey. It is one of the largest surviving brasses in Europe, since most in England were lost during the English Civil War. Drawn by E.Blore, engraved by E.Turrell. Published in London by Nichols, Son & Bentley, May 1, 1815.
