Two identical pennanular Roman brooches with abstract snake head terminals. A chain would have been strung between the two brooches, worn as a pair. This form of brooch is very rare, and only four other examples are known. From main burial one, one of two early 2nd century AD Romano-British burials discovered at Turner's Hall Farm, Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, in March 2002.
