Monochrome photographic cabinet card (albumen print mounted on board), 164 x 107 mm. Seated studio portrait of Lady Beckett. Her style of dress and the general appearance of the card suggests that this photograph was taken in the early 1880s. This may be a relative of Edmund Beckett, 1st Baron Grimthorpe, who was responsible for the St Albans Abbey, St Peter's and St Michael's Churches in St Albans.
Grimthorpe's mother?
