Monochrome photographic print mounted on board, 278 x 186 mm. The view of St Peter's Street from the balcony of the Old Town Hall with wagons in the street around the 1880s. The church tower, just visible at the end of the street, is seen as it was prior to its restoration by Lord Grimthorpe in 1893, but the avenue of lime trees, planted in 1881, are in place. Donated to the museum by Mrs Alice Young.
