Plate 100 of 100 from part 10 (number 8) of Holmes Winters' series of etchings "The Last of Old St Albans". "The Old 'Black Lion' Inn at the end of Fishpool Street and Branch Rd S. Albans. Sketched April 21 1898." The cottages on the far right, next door to the Blue Anchor pub, were demolished in 1935. Drawn and etched by Holmes Winter.
NB: These are largely scanned from Box 17, but given accession nos from complete collection in box 61 since these are the only complete accessioned set, in order to export to Vernon. Images will be identical but not all edition numbers will be right.
