Page one of a printed letter in the hand of the vicar of St Peter's Church, St Albans, appealing for funds to build a larger church (to contain 300 free sittings). Dated 21 December 1842. The lithographic illustration at the top of this page depcicts a church, though it does not appear to be St Peter's Church, but perhaps the proposed new church. 125 x 200 mm.
