Description

St Albans Street Survey 1986: The Maltings Surgery, 8, Victoria Street, St Albans. The Maltings Surgery was once the St Albans School of Art and housed the St Albans public library before it moved to the new purpose-built library building on the other side of the road in 1911. You can still see plaques of Davy, Hogarth and Francis Bacon on the outside.
