Copy of a monochrome photographic print of The George Hotel on the High Street in Harpenden. Note the posters advertising films: "Palais de Danse" at The Victoria Theatre in Harpenden and "The Singing Fool" starring Al Jolson at the Grand Palace in St Albans. These make it possible to date this photograph to 1925. Kindly loaned to St Albans Museums for reproduction and inclusion in this image database by Harpenden Local History Society.
