Plate 20 of 100 from part 2 (number 5) of Holmes Winters' series of etchings "The Last of Old St Albans". "Group of Old Houses, Abbey opening Holywell Hill S. Albans. Sketched Oct 1st 1891." This is the entrance to Sumpter Yard, and the building on the corner is now Paton Books shop. Drawn and etched by Holmes Winter.

NB: These are largely scanned from Box 17, but given accession nos from complete collection in box 61 since these are the only complete accessioned set, in order to export to Vernon. Images will be identical but not all edition numbers will be right.
