Pencil sketch by Ian Howgate showing a view looking through the carriageway running from Christopher Yard (now Christopher Place shopping precinct) through to French Row. Note distinctive carved figure head on the right hand side of the entrance. Hand written note reads: "[En?]try at Mrs Darbin's lodging house, French Row, St Albans - 1927. Ian Howgate".
