Monochrome photographic print showing the first Harpenden sign, erected on the Common in 1937 as a memorial of the coronation of King George VI in 1936. The sign is topped by the coat of arms of Harpenden Town Council, with the motto: "Fide et Labore" ("By Faith and Industry"). Kindly loaned to St Albans Museums for reproduction and inclusion in this image database by Harpenden Local History Society.
