Embroidered Post Card bearing the motto "How I Miss You" with basket of flowers. These were a popular type of card sent home by troops on active service during First World War. No message on reverse. Sent home from France by Private William John Fairy, a soldier from St Albans who later died, after being fatally wounded at Ypres in September 1917. One of a series of 12 similar items.
