Heavily embroidered mixed stitch sampler in a variety of colours commenced by Elizabeth Dun in March 1723 and completed in by Ann Dun in August 1723. Shows alphabet and the Ten Commandments with various floral motifs. Proverbs at bottom read: "If natures gifts shine forth in every part / Let Grace and Virtue Crown her curious Art / If her choice Favours Nature doth denie / Let Grace and Virtue those defects supply." and "Frinds are uncertain Riches unconstant but industry failes not. [sic.]"
