Cross stitch sampler in cotton thread on linen. Stitched by Sarah Randerson of Saxton [?] aged 13, 1809. Alphabet with various decorative motifs including birds and flowers. Text reads: "Ye religion and [?] before God And The Father is This To Visit The Fatherless And Widows in Their Affliction And To Keep himself unspotted from the World And Pray God Keep me."
