Medieval copper alloy finger ring (stone missing). Both men and women wore finger rings. They were among the most frequently worn type of jewellery. They could be worn on both the upper and middle joint of the fingers. The wealthy wore rings of gold, silver and gemstones, the less affluent wore rings like this made of copper, bronze, brass or pewter, with glass instead of precious stones.
