Watercolour painting on board by J.R.Dunning, entitled "Summer's Evening, Harpenden 1895", showing a cottage by a river with two girls. Handwritten pencil note on the back of this painting reads: "Summer's Evening, Harpenden 1895. Cottages, Cold Harbour [?], Harpenden. John R Dunning 1895." John Dunning was a friend of Henry Mitton- Wilson. He exhibited between 1892 and 1914 and lived at 7 Ridgemont Road, St Albans. He was a member of the MooKitt sketching club with Henry moon and Frederick Kitton.
